Damaged Track

Geotechnical investigation works on the damaged synthetic athletics track at Sydney Academy have been completed.

The results are currently being assessed to provide an understanding of how the site responds to weather conditions.

A decision on the next stage of the remediation process will be made after the results of the geotechnical investigation works have been assessed.

The synthetic athletic track remains closed while this is work being undertaken.

A temporary six-lane 400 metre athletics track is available on Oval 1 for Little Athletics clubs and school sports carnivals, user groups and casual visitors.

The infield area of the closed athletics track is also open for throwing and jumping disciplines.
