Accessible by boat only, Milson Island Sport and Recreation Centre is secluded and stunning with sweeping views of the Hawkesbury River at every turn.  Whether you are a school, community or sporting group, we can tailor our program to suit your needs with both catered and self-contained options available.

Activities

Participants learn the art of using a bow and target arrows, all in a safe environment. 

A new and fun dodgeball style strategy-based game. players aim to score points a variety of ways using soft tipped arrows.

Enjoy a trip to the local beach and take in the amazing scenery while enjoying a few games on the sand.

Participants learn about bike safety whilst exploring exciting tracks / courses around the centre.

Discover the native flora and fauna, as well as the local history, while everyone walks through the natural environment of the Centre.

Using single blade paddles, participants paddle in 2 or 3 seated canoes around the local waterways.

A great teamwork activity where groups build and light a campfire and cook some authentic damper.

Our catering team will provide the fresh, nutritious ingredients and it’s up to you to make the feast for everyone to enjoy.

Participants learn the introductory level skills to this Olympic Sport.

Participants are taught the basic skills of fishing and sustainability as they learn how to cast, bait and tie hooks.

A series of tailored challenges set to teams or individuals to successfully work through.

Participants use double-bladed paddles to manoeuvre and control their single or 2 seated craft as they traverse the waterways.

Participants work their way through the obstacle course which includes window walls, over and under’s and tyre squeezes.

Participants learn basic navigation skills as groups work together to find their way around the centre.

Similar to water polo, except participants paddle sit-on-top single kayaks and work in teams to score goals. 

Come summer, a frenzy of games are hosted in the swimming pool provide a great occasion for participants to cool off and have fun.

A water-based team activity where participants are given equipment to build a raft.  

Participants work in teams to explore, collect items and record information or take photos around the centre. 

Participants learn vital skills for survival in the bush, including but not limited to shelter building and fire building.

Participants race around the centre to complete a variety of physical, mental and social challenges.

Learn and experience aspects of Indigenous games, sports and culture. This activity includes boomerang throwing.

Accommodation

Our catered dormitory-style lodge accommodation is fully air-conditioned and sleeps up to 8 people per room in a variety of configurations with an ensuite or shared bathroom. Catered programs are available for groups of 50 or more and include accommodation and three meals per day.

  • One twin share  room with an ensuite. This room contains two single beds rather than bunk beds and could be suitable for a teacher.
