Set on 62 hectares of prime rural farmland on the outskirts of town, Berry Sport and Recreation Centre boasts expansive skies,  lush green pasturelands and a first-class rowing waterway. Old farm buildings dot the landscape adding a pastoral charm, while a regenerated forest, chickens and native bushfoods garden  reflect the Centre’s sustainable vision.

Activities

 

Participants learn the art of using a bow and target arrows, all in a safe environment

A new and fun dodgeball style strategy-based game. players aim to score points a variety of ways using soft tipped arrows.

Participants get to work on their mountain biking skills as they get to try out new tracks / trails in a controlled and safe environment.

Discover the native flora and fauna, as well as the local history, while everyone walks through the natural environment of the Centre.

Using single blade paddles, participants paddle in 2 or 3 seated canoes around the local waterways.

A series of fun and challenging circus-based activities from juggling to plate spinning. 

A great teamwork activity where groups build and light a campfire and cook some authentic damper.

This invites participants to navigate their way through a maze of darkness and confined spaces.  

A series of tailored challenges set to teams or individuals to successfully work through.

Participants use double-bladed paddles to manoeuvre and control their single or 2 seated craft as they traverse the waterways.

Get back to nature and create your own artwork using the natural environment and simple art techniques.

This sharpens particpants' navigation skills as they explore outdoor terrain and enjoy the magic of outdoor life using maps and landmarks to get around

A digital scavenger hunt where pictures are taken to complete challenges

Come summer, a frenzy of games are hosted in the swimming pool provide a great occasion for particpants to cool off and, have fun.

A water-based team activity where participants are given equipment to build a raft.  

Scale a vertical wall in a harness that is attached to a safety line.

A fun teamwork activity where groups race around the centre to complete a variety of physical, mental and social challenges,  

An activity providing an opportunity for participants to learn about, appreciate and experience aspects of Indigenous games, sports and culture. This activity includes boomerang throwing. 

Teams play a variety of strategy-based games with buckets of water, water balloons and sponges.

Using inflatables, participants are put through a series of team building initiatives on the water.

Accommodation

Catered accommodation for up to 159 people

6 single-bed rooms with a TV and ensuite which are suitable for teachers and supervisors

26 bedrooms with 2 to 3 bunk beds in each

4 accessible rooms with 2 to 3 bunk beds and an ensuite

2 shower and toilet blocks, 5 bathrooms with toilets and 4 separate toilets dispersed through the accommodation

Laundry with washing machines and dryers.
