Set on 178 hectares of land, the Sydney International Regatta Centre is a popular spot for casual and fitness training and is open to the general public on non-event days.
Organised commercial group activities such as Boot camps, Personal Training, Yoga etc. are required to make a booking to obtain permission to operate on site.

  • Walk, run or cycle on our flat five kilometre path. Cyclists please note speed limits apply, you are not able to ride at race speeds outside of events as the paths are for shared use. Please consider other users at all times.
     
  • Row, kayak, canoe, sail or SUP on the lake. Note: Pre-booking is required (min 3 days notice preferred) & casual use fees apply for all on water activity. Note: If you plan to visit on a weekend, please ensure you are booked in before midday on Thursday so that our team can confirm availability. Please do not just turn up expecting to be able to get on the water, and never enter the water without checking in with venue staff on arrival.
  • Join the free Penrith Lakes Parkrun on Saturday morning
     
  • Participate in Penrith Cycling Club race events
     
  • Join the regular triathlon groups that run events & training sessions at the venue. Panthers Triathlon Club, Hills Tri Club, Onebody Heath & Fitness, Filoz Tri Club, Balance & UTS Tri Club.
     
  • Train for, and participate in Western Sydney Marathon
     
  • Participate in multiple open water swim events

For any organised group training sessions, ie. Boot Camps and group training sessions with a trainer, the organiser of the group is required to contact Venue Management to gain approval to book in a space and time. Fees apply.

Please note: SIRC is a cashless venue. Eftpos facilities are available in the Venue Management Office when you check in. Pre-payment via card or direct deposit is encouraged.
Pre-booking is required for any on water activity.  E-mail regatta@sport.nsw.gov.au(link sends e-mail) at least three days prior to your planned visit for a booking form & to check availability.
