Water sports training and events

Ideally situated on a peninsula that has both east and west access to the vast Lake Macquarie (4 times larger than Sydney Harbour), Point Wolstoncroft is the ideal location for many water-based sporting organisations to host training camps and events.

The venue is an ideal location to provide either protected water for paddling/skiing or wind for sailing throughout the year, with easy lake access on both sides of the peninsula.

In addition to the location, Point Wolstoncroft has a number of different types of accommodation, with both catered and self-catered options should your group wish to stay onsite.

Recently Point Wolstoncroft has hosted training camps and events with:

  • NSW Youth Sailing Championships
  • Australian Sailing – Nacra 39, 49 and 49fx futures training programs
  • NSW Dragon Boat regattas
  • Outrigger Regatta with our onsite club Makai Lakes Outrigger Club

We have developed strong partnerships with water-based sporting organisations and are keen to expand our opportunities in this area.

If you are keen to explore this area of Point Wolstoncroft’s operations, please call 13 13 02.
