“I advise you to make the trip to Lake Burrendong as you are going to have experiences that are so valuable and will remember for the rest of your life! Over 20 years of attending school camps and this is the best experience I’ve had from so many perspectives. The activities were just so much fun and the students really got into them. Thank you to the staff for what they do to make everything work for the teachers and our students. The generosity and kindness of this place is unbelievable - 10 out of 10 for me.”

"We had a very enjoyable, action-packed couple of days at the Family Weekend Getaway at Lake Burrendong Sport and Rec Centre. The activities started with Archery, a win for kids and adults alike. We also raced each other and the clock around a dirt track in the pedal karts and played some very engaging games in the multipurpose sports hall, all of which brought out our competitive spirits in an entertaining way. We also made the most of the swimming pool, tennis courts and table tennis.
One of our highlights was barrelling down the hill on a 50-meter slip-and-slide. There were a lot of laughs as parents cheered each other on, seizing the chance to be kids again. On Sunday, we lit campfires and gathered around to bake damper. We then all crafted boomerangs before testing them at the sports field.
Of course, a camp experience is not complete without great food, and the Sport and Rec Centre did not disappoint.
Overall, the Family Weekend Getaway exceeded our expectations and gave us a memorable weekend of fun, laughs and connection."
