Participants learn the art of using a bow and target arrows, all in a safe environment.
A new and fun dodgeball style strategy-based game. players aim to score points a variety of ways using soft tipped arrows.
Participants learn the basics of BMX bike riding and bike safety.
Discover the native flora and fauna, as well as the local history, while everyone walks through the natural environment of the Centre.
A team challenge activity based on the TV series Survivor. It allows teams to work together to problem solve a number of challenges and puzzles, while using their communication and conflict resolution skills.
Based on Rube Goldburg Machines, students will be working in teams to create a complex process to complete a simple task through multiple transfers of energy.
A series of fun and challenging circus-based activities from juggling to plate spinning.
Participants are able to experience cooking damper over a campfire.
Participants learn the introductory level skills to this Olympic Sport.
A series of tailored challenges set to teams or individuals to successfully work through.
Participants use double-bladed paddles to manoeuvre and control their single or 2 seated craft as they traverse the waterways.
Participants work their way through the obstacle course together. During the warmer months, there are multiple mud elements for teams to manoeuvre their way through.
Participants learn basic navigation skills as groups work together to find their way around the centre.
Participants work together to build a chariot out of timber, ropes, nuts, bolts, wheels, etc. Teams can earn extra equipment by completing bonus challenges before racing their chariots.
Come summer, a frenzy of games are hosted in the swimming pool provide a great occasion for participants to cool off and, have fun.
A water-based team activity where participants are given equipment to build a raft.
Scale a vertical wall in a harness that is attached to a safety line.
Participants take turns to slide down a wet and soapy tarpaulin.
Participants learn vital skills for survival in the bush, including but not limited to shelter building and fire building.
Learn and experience aspects of Indigenous games, sports and culture. This activity includes boomerang throwing.
Teams play a variety of strategy-based games with buckets of water, water balloons and sponges.
Accommodation
Borambola Sport and Recreation Centre has accommodation that comfortably fits 148 guests, with the ability to sleep up to 172 guests. There is a visiting teacher's lounge for school groups and laundry with a washing machine and dryer. We can also accommodate people with a disability.
