The ATP Cup continues to benefit grassroots tennis across the state with the opening of Round 3 of the NSW ATP Cup Tennis Legacy Fund.
Tennis clubs, associations and councils can apply for grants that support the construction of new tennis facilities and help people of all ages and abilities play tennis.
The Fund is a partnership between the NSW Government and Tennis NSW that will see $2.4 million invested over three years to ensure community tennis benefits from NSW hosting the ATP Cup at Ken Rosewall Arena.
Minister for Sport Stuart Ayres said the opening of the Legacy Fund was a fantastic conclusion to an incredible summer of tennis.
“Following the success of the 2022 ATP Cup at Sydney Olympic Park, the Legacy Fund provides grassroots tennis with the opportunity to benefit from NSW hosting the tournament,” Mr Ayres said.
“The first two rounds of the Fund have seen more than $610,000 awarded to 50 projects across NSW, helping communities deliver new tennis programs and construct high-quality facilities.
“I encourage tennis clubs, associations and councils to apply for a grant and deliver a legacy from the tournament for their communities.”
Tennis NSW CEO Darren Simpson said: “We are once again delighted to announce the opening of the NSW ATP Cup Tennis Legacy Fund for the third and final round of funding. Having a world class event here in Sydney has allowed us to direct funds back into grassroots community tennis, allowing more opportunities for people to enjoy our sport.”
Grants from $1,000 - $50,000 are available with applicants required to make a co-contribution. Applications close Monday 2 May at 1pm.
