Program Function: The Her Sport Her Way Grant Program is a key initiative of the NSW Government’s Her Sport Her Way strategy. The Program aligns with the Office of Sport Strategic Plan and supports sports participation plans. It provides more than $2.5 million over four years to assist our NSW State Sporting Organisations to develop and deliver new initiatives to increase participation of women and girls in sport, on and off the field, and build cultures of diversity and inclusion. This year the Program continues to have a particular focus on initiatives that target adolescent girls.
Program Term: Applications opened on 19 October 2022, closed on 16 November 2022 and grants were announced in January 2023. Projects are expected to commence from 1 February 2023 and be completed by 30 June 2024.
Applicants: A total of 37 applications were submitted for consideration, 26 of which were successful. The total amount awarded through Her Sport Her Way 2022/23 is $625,280 for projects with a total value including co-contributions of $1,157,056.
Source Agency: The NSW Office of Sport administered the Program on behalf of the NSW Government. Final decisions on the award of funding were made by the Minister for Sport.
