Sport and training camps at Lake Ainsworth
Over the last few years the centre has hosted a number of National, International and Professional Rugby, Rugby League and Netball teams. With recent additions and improvements to the facility, combined with the location, Lake Ainsworth Centre is one of the premier high performance training venues in NSW.
The Lake Ainsworth Centre provides an all inclusive training venue with accommodation, fully catered meals, S&C Centre and playing field, all within a restricted access site.
Accommodation
- For High Performance teams, the Athlete accommodation consists of 9 two bedroom twin share cottages (36pax) with two 4 bedroom houses that are typically used for coaches and support staff.
- For junior development, pathways, community sport programs, or simply programs on a budget, Athletes stay in dormitory accommodation, and coaches stay in the twin share single bedroom staff units adjacent to the accommodation.
Food
A commercial kitchen which is staffed by qualified chefs who will work with your nutritionists and trainers to tailor the meals to your team needs.
Training and Recovery
- One full sized level rugby / league playing field that has recently been fully renovated
- 25 metre outdoor pool
- Indoor multisport stadium including full sized netball court
- 2 conference rooms with full AV facilities
- A weights room with racks and lifting platforms
- Conditioning centre with rowers, ski ergs, assault bikes, spin bikes and Watt bikes, i-cool ice baths and two infra red saunas.
- 5 prowler sleds, weighted vests, pads, bags and hit shields.
- An Enforcer Pro Simulator scrum machine.
Recreational activities
Should you wish, the centre staff can deliver team building programs, or recreation activities which include canoeing, rock climbing and stand up paddleboards.
