Penrith Whitewater Stadium is the ultimate venue for whitewater paddling! 320 metres of solid Grade 3 whitewater designed to test the skills of the best paddlers in the world. Whether you are into creeking, freestyle, slalom or packrafting, Penrith Whitewater Stadium is the place to paddle.

RECREATIONAL PADDLING AND RAFTING
Recreational Paddling and Rafting sessions are held during PWS Whitewater Rafting trips.
ONLY upstream slalom gates are permitted.
Session times are published below in the Recreational Paddling Schedule.

RECREATIONAL PADDLING
Recreational Paddling sessions are exclusive paddling sessions without rafts and are run on 4 pumps.
ALL slalom gates are permitted.
Session times are published below in the Recreational Paddling Schedule.
Bookings are essential and can be made online. To operate a Recreational Paddling session, a minimum of 20 people must be registered for the session to proceed.

FIRST-TIME RECREATIONAL PADDLERS
***DUE TO STAFFING LIMITATIONS, NO FIRST-TIME RECREATIONAL PADDLERS ARE PERMITTED FROM 14 DECEMBER 2024 - 05 JANUARY 2025***
ALL FIRST-TIME Recreational Paddlers will need to complete a Grade 3 Kayaking Skills Competency Assessment to demonstrate their skills to paddle PWS’s grade 3 whitewater course. The assessment is free of charge and is conducted with a Penrith Whitewater Stadium staff member prior to accessing the whitewater channel. First time users must arrive 30 minutes before their session start time to complete the competency assessment.
