GIO 2018 IWRF Wheelchair Rugby World Championship

5 - 10 August 2018

From 5 – 10 August, the world’s top twelve wheelchair rugby teams will battle for the title of World Champions at Sydney Olympic Park and will see the Australian Steelers, the reigning Paralympic and World Champions playing to defend their title on home soil!                                                        

It kicks off with Family Fun Day on Sun 5 August and concludes with the finals games on Fri 10 August.

Invictus Games

20 - 27 October 2018

Sydney will host 500 competitors from 18 nations competing in 11 adaptive sports as part of the Invictus Games this October.

Following on from Toronto in 2017, injured and ill veterans and current servicemen and women will descend on Sydney to showcase the healing power of sport and the resilience of the human spirit.

NSW Government - Proud Host of the ICC World T20 2020
The ICC World T20 – the “World Cup” of T20 cricket – is coming to Australia in 2020 for the first time.

The eyes of the world will be on Australia as the 10 best women’s teams and 16 best men’s teams, comprising the global superstars of the game, compete to be crowned world champions. The NSW Government has been successful in securing 14 matches for Sydney – more than any other Host City.
