Waratah Run Series: April – September 2017

The Waratah Run Series is the rebranded and remodelled winter series hosted and supported by Athletics NSW. The events are for participants of all ages and abilities, with a focus on participant enjoyment and on the day entertainment.
Formerly known as the ‘Athletics NSW Winter Series’, the Waratah Run Series is a set of community based social events which also incorporate a championship component. With 11 events, participation opportunities range from XC Festivals at Sydney International Equestrian Centre through to Street Relays in Ourimbah. With distances ranging from 1km to 30km, there is an event and challenge for everyone.
Women’s Rugby League World Cup: November 2017

In September 2016, the Rugby League World Cup 2017 Organising Committee announced that for the first time in the sport’s history the Women’s Rugby League World Cup will be held concurrently with the men’s tournament.
The Rugby League Women’s World Cup will feature six teams, with the Australian Jillaroos hoping to defend their title in front of a home crowd. The event provides a great opportunity for children and families to see high quality competition across four match days.
