The annual Pony Club NSW State Camp was held 8 to 13 January at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre.
The 70 selected young equestrians were aged between 14 and 25 years and enjoyed four days of instruction to improve their skills in Dressage, Showjumping, Eventing, Mounted Games and Advanced Horsemanship.
The State Camp provides coaching from some of the country’s highest qualified equestrian instructors.
Camp starts on Sunday where all riders meet and settle in. Instruction takes place from Monday to Thursday and riders depart on Friday morning. Evenings include lectures from well-known personalities in the horse world, veterinary surgeons and other fun activities.
State Camp is not only about receiving the best instruction; it is also about making great friendships which can last a lifetime.
Horses are stabled and instruction takes place at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre which has covered stables, an indoor arena, various outdoor arenas and a training cross country course.
