Albury families are taking full advantage of the Active Kids program with more than 18,000 vouchers snapped up since the program commenced in 2018. Minister for Sport John Sidoti visit Albury late last month to meet with local tennis superstars competing in the Todd Woodbridge Cup at Thurgoona Tennis Club and putting their vouchers in action.
“Families across the Albury electorate have been snapping up the vouchers and it’s great to be able to help talented athletes like the kids from Albury tennis squad offset some of their costs,” Mr Sidoti said.
Member for Albury Justin Clancy said “Active Kids go far and I encourage all families in the Albury electorate to take advantage of the second Active Kids voucher and enroll in a sport or recreational activity like tennis over summer.”
According to Office of Sport Active Kids data some of the most popular activities in the Albury electorate for girls include netball, dance and swimming with AFL, basketball and football among the most popular for boys.
