In October, Point Wolstoncroft Sport and Recreation Centre will host the 2019 NSW Youth Championships with more than 400 competitors from around Australia expected to compete in Australia’s largest youth regatta.
The Championships mark the start of the sailing season and are a great warm up to the Class Nationals and the Australian Youth Championships in early January 2020.
The event includes a 100-strong volunteer work force from local sailing clubs who will assist with on-water and on-shore race management. Over the last few years Australian Sailing has trained many volunteers in the National Race Officer qualification, ensuring a legacy is left for the local sailing community.
The event is being delivered in partnership with Central Coast Council and Australian Sailing. Find out more on the 2019 NSW Youth Championships.
