The region’s sport and recreation sector came together earlier this month to discuss future sports facilities for the Central West and Orana.
More than 50 stakeholders from across the sport and government sector attended the Office of Sport’s Central West and Orana Facilities Forum on Wednesday, 7 August at Lake Burrendong Sport and Recreation Centre which provided a platform to discuss the planning and design of future sports facilities in the Central West and Orana.
Feedback and contributions from the Forum will be considered in the Office of Sport’s Central West and Orana Sport and Active Recreation Plan 2018-23.
“It’s vital that we collaborate with stakeholders locally to ensure we can best support the planning and provision of sport and recreation facilities to meet the contemporary needs of our communities,” Casey Grice said.
“I’d like to thank the local sporting organisations that attended and provided valuable input at the Forum.”
