SailGP INSPIRE Learning - ages 9 to 13

Sailing

The Office of Sport is excited to partner with SailGP to offer Australia’s first SailGP Inspire Learning Camp. Through SailGP Inspire Learning, young people will get a real taste of the sport with hands-on lessons, mentorship and team building. Inspire Learning introduces camp participants to sailing as well as the science behind the sport. This is learning by doing, and a step towards skills that last a lifetime, regardless of experience. With expert tuition, participants will take part in a range of on and off-water activities, progressing throughout the week to sail on the specialised SailGP RS Cat14s. With no prior experience required, children have the fantastic opportunity to be part of an internationally renowned program and to meet some of the SailGP athletes in the lead up to SailGP Sydney (28-29 February 2020). When not learning about sailing, there are plenty of activities arranged for the kids! Seasonal activities may include: Giant Swing, High Ropes / Challenge Course, Climbing Wall, Archery, Kayaking, SUP’s & Wombat Hole. Tennis, Swimming, Basketball, Volleyball, Fishing, Scenic Walks and Giant Board Games.
